Changes Since 3.1
System Enhancements in Webdesk EWP Version 3.2
General System Properties:
- Webdesk EWP 3.2 is cluster-capable and runs in production with 7,000
users
- Overall system performance has once again been significantly improved compared to previous versions. In addition, the
system administrator is given extended options for individually optimizing
system performance
- Restrictions of the selection tree are now possible. This means more
convenience, data protection and faster query speeds, as well as a higher level of
performance assurance.
- The query speed of the lists has been significantly improved.
- Multiple "top-level groups" can now be defined. This is of interest
when, for example, parallel organizational hierarchies can occur, as in holding
structures.
- The assignment of sub-administrator rights to specific users has been
integrated.
Attendance Board:
- The booking location of networks, PCs or terminals can now be displayed in the
attendance board via IP ID.
- URL parameters integrated into the attendance board. This makes it possible to
link or display present employees in/with third-party systems,
e.g. telephone system software
- Additional status filters for Absent, Present and absence reason added
Monthly Journal:
- Time correction can now be called directly from the monthly journal via a
context menu.
Calendar Overview:
- Hiding the absence reasons is now also possible in the calendar overview
and thus provides an extension of data protection
Automation Processes:
- Event-driven email notifications "informAboutEvents" via job definition
including filter criteria enable a higher degree of automation. For example, an
automatic email notification with a list of all
overtime causers in a certain period can be generated.
Management Functions:
- Displaying loose groups in management lists is now possible. In a
selection organization chart, persons can be defined by the administrator independently of hierarchical structures.
- The parameter "Consider selection in search" was added to the search mask.
This restricts the search to sub-units and leads to more targeted and
faster queries.
- The additional query limitation of the search mask by date leads to
more targeted and faster queries and enables optimized data protection.
- The new search mask parameter "Show result immediately" improves
query convenience.
- Another novelty is the favorites function. Here, favorites can be defined for queries. This considerably simplifies recurring queries.
- Queries are now cached, and the last query
is retained.
Workflow Lists:
- Printing of the workflow lists was enabled.
- A filter option by requester was added.
- One-time assignment of tasks to other persons is now done via the
parameter "Reassign". The administrator can assign the
request to another employee from the workflow lists.
Requests and Processes:
- A collective time correction is now available. This simplifies, for example, the
correction of multiple full-day official errands or multi-day business trips.
- The new parameter "Allow requests on behalf of others" was added.
Creating requests for another user means that
the request also remains assigned to the deputy in the request history. The new
deputy function "allowUserDeputy" allows the user to activate
a deputy
- The parameter "switchUserActsAsNominalUser" causes the switched
user to be treated like the original requester. The request history follows the
normal path.
- Hiding absence reasons and follow-up absence reasons in the absence form is
now possible.
- Correction notes can now be extended with any text.
- In the "Permissions" process, the journal can now additionally be shown.
Enhancements in the Groupware Module:
- Free/busy queries of the GW service can now be cached
- The parameter "busyStatus" controls the display of synchronized
appointments in Outlook according to the following categories (Free, Tentative, Busy,
Out of office)
