Prinzipiell gibt es folgende Arten von Konnektoren:

• Lesende Konnektoren
• Schreibend Konnektoren
• Konnektoren die sowohl lesen wie auch schreiben können

Weiters können im Webdesk auch verknüpfte Konnektoren definiert werden. Sie stellen eine Verknüpfung zwischen Konnektoren dar, und ermöglichen so eine genauere Definition des Datenflusses (Definition Sender und Empfänger).

Im Workflow Modul wird folgender Konnektor eingesetzt:

Der Process Instance Connector liest und schreibt Prozessinstanzen (z.B. Anträge) einer bestimmten Prozessdefinition. Die Prozessinstanzen können für bestimmte Personen, Gruppen oder Mandanten konfiguriert werden The connectors provide a framework for the import and export of data into Webdesk (or out of Webdesk).
The definition of source connectors (the source the data comes from) and target connectors (where the data goes) allows the data flow to be designed. In this way, data can not only be synchronized from the time management system into Webdesk, but databases can also be addressed and text files (CSV files) created. Data can also be transported out of Webdesk and imported and formatted in other systems (interface framework).

In principle, there are the following types of connectors:

• Connectors that can both read and write

In addition, linked connectors can be defined in Webdesk. They represent a link between connectors and thus allow a more precise definition of the data flow (definition of sender and receiver).

The following connector is used in the Workflow module:
