Job buildCustomGroups
The buildCustomGroups job creates and maintains Webdesk groups based on an SQL restriction on the TA person master data of the TA system. In the supplied descriptor it is active and configurable.
Process per Definition
- The SQL restriction is passed to the TA person service. The TA persons found are assigned to a Webdesk person via their TA ID. Assignments that are not found are logged and ignored; duplicate Webdesk persons are not added more than once.
- For New group, the group is searched for by group name (short name) in the selected client. If it does not yet exist, it is created with the configured group name in the selected organizational structure. If it already exists, it is treated like an existing group.
- For Existing group, the selected group is used.
- If the target group is valid and persons were found, the group membership is reconciled with the result: persons found are linked to the group; former members who no longer meet the restriction are removed from the group.
- If no person is found for an existing group, the job empties this group. For a newly created group with no matches, no persons are linked.
- After linking, a JavaScript can optionally be executed.
Configuration
-
Type: New group or existing group.
-
Group name: Name of the new or selected group.
-
Client and Organizational structure: Relevant when creating a new group.
-
Filter: SQL restriction for the TA persons. The available fields come from the TA person data.
-
JavaScript to be executed after the insert: Optional script after linking. It receives, among others, the variables
persons, group, orgService and roleService.
Notes
The job processes multiple definitions sequentially. With each run, the target group is fully synchronized with the result of the restriction; manually added members who do not meet the restriction are removed again in the process. Therefore, use groups that are maintained exclusively by this job. If the TA connector is unreachable, this is logged in the job log.
The general job parameters such as trigger and email notification apply as defined in central job management.
