Module Reporting

With Webdesk EWP Reporting, you can create report definitions with Eclipse BIRT, upload them to the server, and enable them for any Webdesk users by means of the Webdesk permission management. Through the integration of the Webdesk viewing permission, the question "Which personal data am I allowed to see?" is also answered simply and transparently.

The reports can be created periodically and sent automatically and proactively to the corresponding role holders.

Reporting with an Open-Source Core

Data from various sources in existing HR systems can be linked together, presented in tabular and/or graphical form, and distributed to your employees or managers on a role basis using web technology. Eclipse BIRT supports the integration of a wide variety of data sources (databases, text files, Excel, and also XML files) and their evaluation into meaningful reports, which can be output in HTML, Excel, Word, or PDF as desired. This makes it considerably easier to create HR key figures involving various existing HR systems.

Integration with the Role Concept and Viewing Permissions of Webdesk

The report definitions defined via Eclipse BIRT are executed in accordance with the permission concept of Webdesk EWP. On the one hand, it can be defined who may run a particular report (employee, group, role, client). On the other hand, it can also be specified which persons or groups can be queried by the user. The passing of the objects to be evaluated can be defined flexibly.

Building an HR Data Warehouse

Not all existing HR systems can always be integrated online in such a way that they can be accessed directly with the reporting engine. In this case, the only way out is to build a separate database that is periodically filled with data from the third-party systems, thus forming a basis for performant evaluations via the reporting tool. The Webdesk EWP connector framework supports this with its various connectors and the ability to synchronize data from different sources with each other without having to program. The corresponding definitions can be defined via the Webdesk administrator and executed periodically via the Webdesk job framework!
