However, as the legal regulations in Austria are very far-reaching, they cannot be managed optimally. Personalwolke, on the other hand, specializes in Austrian working time laws and meets all requirements in the area of time recording.<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>Working Hours Act Austria<\/h2>\n<p>In Austria, normal working hours (excluding rest breaks) are 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week. If this time is exceeded, this is referred to as overtime. Depending on special agreements, employees may work up to 12 hours per day and 60 hours per week - however, they may not work more than 48 hours per week on a four-month average. The daily working hours, including all breaks, as well as absences and rest periods are recorded.<\/p>\n<p>Important! The obligation to keep records applies to all companies with one or more employees. Compliance with the recording obligation is checked by the labor inspectorate. The more employees a company has, the more time-consuming time recording becomes. As there is no legally prescribed form of time recording, smaller companies still record time by hand or in Excel format.
