Purpose and status

The job sends daily email summaries of open workflow tasks to persons with the notification frequency once a day. It is configurable and is active by default in the job descriptor.

Configuration

• Send email even if there are no new tasks (sendEmailWhenNoNewTodos): If enabled, an email is sent when open tasks exist even if there are no new tasks.
• Reminder mail subject and Reminder mail body (mailSubject, mailBody): Templates for the subject and message text.
• In the subject and the message text, $person, $newOpenTODOs and $allOpenTODOs can be used. For the person, methods such as $person.getUserName(), $person.getFirstName() and $person.getLastName() are also available.

Processing

• Open tasks whose start time is within the last 24 hours count as new.
• Main and deputy processors with a valid person and email address are taken into account.
• Persons without an email address are skipped. Sending errors and totals of emails sent, skipped and failed appear in the job log.
