Languages & Internationalization
The language management (internationalization) allows a multilingual Webdesk design.
To meet the needs of international companies with different locations, Webdesk can, after prior configuration, be used in any number of languages. Text modules are used for this purpose.
The translations of the text modules that make up the respective languages are done directly in the application by the system administrator or by a translator. So that one and the same word does not have to be translated several times in many forms, the principle of inheritance was introduced. This allows a text module to "inherit" the translation of another text module.
Example:
The German translation for Client is preset to "Mandant". If you want to change
this to "Klient" in all forms, it would be necessary to edit the text module
separately in every action that contains the word "Mandant". However, since the
text modules for "Mandant" can be inherited, the change only has to be made once
in the parent text module.
If, however, the translations are to differ in individual forms or views, the translation is created as user-defined, and the text module receives a different (user-defined) translation each time.
If Webdesk has been set up as multilingual, the user can choose the desired language either via the browser settings or via the user settings.
