Workflow Jobs

Jobs serve as periodically running helper programs for the synchronization and processing of data.
They can be used in many ways, and enable, for example, the creation of groups based on certain criteria, the synchronization of department and person data from the time and attendance system, or the synchronization of calendar data from the Groupware system.
Furthermore, certain jobs can be used to filter defined irregularities in the time and attendance system, upon which certain requests are automatically generated and forwarded to employees for processing.

Jobs relevant to the Workflow module:

  • Wf Check Deadlines
    This job checks the deadlines of running processes
  • Wf Check Limits
    This job checks the limits of running processes
  • Migrate WD2 Processes
    This job can be used to take over existing (already archived) processes from Webdesk 2
  • Delete old WF Data
    This deletes old WF data
  • Sync Persons
    The job synchronizes the names of all persons from the Webdesk database with the Shark database
  • Fill up WF List Caches
    This job fills up the caches responsible for workflow lists.
  • Finish manual End System Activities
    This job is intended to end manual system activities within a job after a certain time has elapsed. Within the job's configuration, the following parameters, for example, can be set: which processes should be checked (restriction to instances of certain definitions)
  • Refresh Cache
    This job refreshes the caches
  • ReassignPerformerAfterXDaysOfInactivity
    .
  • OpenActivitiesReminder
    This job makes it possible to automatically remind people of open requests.
  • WfFinishOrApproveActivities
    The job WfFinishOrApproveActivities can be used to "push forward" open process instances of certain process definitions that cannot be completed due to missing processing by the assigned approvers/reviewers, by automatically processing (i.e. approving or reviewing) the still-open approval or review activities up to a certain role.
  • WfNotifyAboutOpenToDos
    This job sends a daily mail with a summary of newly added open to-dos to all persons who have configured this.
  • WfHouseKeeping
    This job performs central cleanup work in the Workflow module. It resolves contradictory process and activity states, removes unused process definitions, and deletes invalid default performer assignments. This keeps the workflow system consistent and performant.
