Job getAbsenceTextModules
Purpose
The getAbsenceTextModules job creates or updates text modules for the absence reasons supplied by the TA system. In the supplied job descriptor the job is active and cannot be configured via its own configuration form. The TA module must be available.
Processing
- The job reads all absence reasons from the TA system and determines Webdesk's default language.
- The default codes for presence and general absence are not synchronized.
- For each remaining absence reason, four text modules are created or processed for the half-day/full-day short designation and the short/long designation.
- Processing is performed for all languages available in Webdesk. In the default language, the value from the TA system is stored directly. For other languages, the language code is prepended, since the TA system does not provide translations.
- New text modules are assigned to the TA module and enabled for updates on a version change.
- Existing text modules are only updated if Update on version change is enabled. Otherwise the existing content remains unchanged.
Text module names and values
The names are formed from the absence reason code and the suffixes for half-day/full-day and short/long designation. For long designations, the description of the absence reason is used. For short designations, the TA absence reason codes are used; the half-day short designation is stored in lowercase.
Notes
- The job has no configuration of its own; the trigger and general job parameters are managed centrally.
- Errors when saving a text module are logged and passed on as an error.
- The newly created or modified text modules are collected for further processing.
