Bind Folders To Meta Structure

Purpose

The interruptible job assigns folders of a repository to the entities of a metadata structure and binds the folder trees to the metadata structure.

Prerequisites and configuration

  • A repository/metadata-structure mapping (repositoryMetaStructure) must exist.
  • The root metadata structure must have a valid folder name macro.
  • The configured parent folder of the repository must exist.
  • Initial bind (initialBind, default true): Processes only folder trees that are not yet bound.
  • If initial bind is disabled, folder trees that are already bound are processed again as well.

Behavior

  • The job reads entities and top-level folders, correlates them, and binds matching folder trees.
  • An initial bind only binds on complete success; if subfolders are missing, the folder tree is logged as partially bound.
  • In a normal subsequent bind, existing assignments can be processed again.
  • An interruption stops processing between folder trees.
  • Missing or differently named subfolders are logged. After an initial bind, a subsequent bind can add missing bindings; afterwards the metadata structure can be propagated.
