Job checkMaxWorkingTime

The checkMaxWorkingTime job checks the current working time of selected persons against the daily or weekly maximum working time stored in the TA system. In the supplied descriptor, the job is currently not active, but is configurable.

Processing

  1. The target persons are determined from the selection of persons, groups, and clients.
  2. The Maximum working time setting is used to choose between a daily and a weekly check.
  3. The job first determines the expected working time. If the working time, together with the configured threshold, is already close to the limit, a more detailed check is performed.
  4. A warning is only generated if the threshold has been reached, the maximum time is not yet expected to be exceeded, and the person is currently present or on a productive absence.
  5. For each job configuration and person, the warning state is cached for at most one day. This prevents the same warning from being sent again on every run.

Configuration

  • Person, group, and client selection: Persons to be checked.
  • Maximum working time: Daily or weekly check.
  • Threshold in hours: Lead time until the limit is expected to be reached. The calculation uses the industrial time format. If no value is entered, 2 hours are used.
  • Email subject and Email content: Templates of the warning email.
  • (Cc) Copy to: Additional email addresses, separated by commas.
  • (Cc) Copy to holders of the roles: Roles whose responsible persons receive a copy.
  • Use parallel processing? and Number of threads for processing: Optional parallel checking with 1 to 5 threads; the default value for the number of threads is 2.

Placeholders

The following placeholders can be used for the person in the subject and content: $first_name, $last_name, $full_name, and $employee_id. The technical placeholder $employee_id stands for the personnel number.

The following formatted placeholders are also available in the email content: $expectedTimeWhenReachingLimit (expected time at which the maximum working time is reached, format HH:mm), $industryHoursUntilReachingLimit (remaining industrial hours), $normalHoursUntilReachingLimit (remaining normal hours, e.g., 1:30), and $maxWorkingTime (maximum working time).

In the email content, Velocity variables for the expected time, the remaining industrial and normal hours, and the maximum working time are also available. These include, among others, expectedTimeWhenReachingLimitUnformatted, industryHoursUntilReachingLimitUnformatted, normalHoursUntilReachingLimitUnformatted, and maxWorkingTimeUnformatted.

Notes

Persons without a TA assignment are skipped. Errors when checking a person are logged and do not affect the other persons. The specific maximum limits are provided by the TA account or the daily or weekly program.

The general job parameters such as trigger and email notification apply as defined in central job management.
