The connectors provide a framework for the import and
export of data into Webdesk (or out of
Webdesk).
The definition of source connectors (the source the data comes
from) and target connectors (where the data goes) allows the
data flow to be designed. This means that not only can data be
synchronized from the Time & Attendance system into
Webdesk, but databases can also be addressed and text files (CSV files) created.
Data can also be transported out of Webdesk and imported and formatted in other
systems (interface framework).
In principle, there are the following types of connectors:
Examples of connectors: group connector, person connector, ...
Furthermore, linked connectors can also be defined in Webdesk. They represent a link between connectors and thus enable a more precise definition of the data flow (definition of sender and receiver).
Examples of connectors in Time & Attendance:
Which time recording system is used is defined in the Time & Attendance settings of the client: Interflex IF6020 (used if nothing is entered), Interflex IF6040, or Webdesk time evaluation. The Time & Attendance connectors mentioned above read and write the data of the Interflex IF6020.
