Webdesk EWP leaves it to the administrator to define a range of system settings for personalisationpersonalization, monitoring, automation and the import and export of data.
There are the following types of system settings:
System parameters |
|---|
System parameters are used to shape many basic settings in Webdesk. These are parameters that have a direct effect on the operation and appearance of the different Webdesk modules, for example password policies, booking behaviourbehavior, determining the start page action, etc. |
Jobs |
Jobs serve as periodically running utilities for synchronising synchronizing and processing data. They make it possible to automate the processing and synchronisation synchronization of mass data. Jobs are used, for example, when synchronising synchronizing department and person data from the time management system, or when synchronising synchronizing calendar data from the groupware system, and can be configured with a particular execution interval. |
Connectors |
Connectors are used to import data into (or export it from) Webdesk. They provide the infrastructure for importing and exporting data. This way not only can data from the time management system be synchronisedsynchronized, but databases can also be addressed or text files (CSV files) created. |
Monitoring & log settings |
Various monitoring tools give an overview of logged-in users, active jobs and the like. In addition there is the option of parameterising parameterizing the detailed log entries individually in the log settings. |
System messages |
When irregularities are pending, such as system maintenance work or special events in the company, Webdesk users can be made aware of them by means of system messages. The system message is written by the administrator; duration, appearance and timing can be parameterised parameterized as desired. |
Password management |
Here you will find various settings for changing and resetting passwords, password criteria, and the other authentication options available in Webdesk. |
Licence License information |
Here you will find an overview of the total, free and used number of Webdesk licenceslicenses. |
Key values |
Key values allow keyword lists for user-defined forms and applications to be managed, for example for drop-down lists in actions. |
Advanced functions |
These functions allow advanced administration and maintenance of Webdesk EWP. Here it is possible, for example, to clear or refresh various caches, to register particular modules, or to update the translation files. |
