System settings

System parameters are used to shape many basic settings in Webdesk. These are parameters that have a direct effect on the operation and appearance of the different Webdesk modules, for example password policies, booking behaviour, determining the start page action, etc.

Jobs serve as periodically running utilities for synchronising and processing data. They make it possible to automate the processing and synchronisation of mass data.

Jobs are used, for example, when synchronising department and person data from the time management system, or when synchronising calendar data from the groupware system, and can be configured with a particular execution interval.

Connectors are used to import data into (or export it from) Webdesk. They provide the infrastructure for importing and exporting data. This way not only can data from the time management system be synchronised, but databases can also be addressed or text files (CSV files) created.

Various monitoring tools give an overview of logged-in users, active jobs and the like. In addition there is the option of parameterising the detailed log entries individually in the log settings.

When irregularities are pending, such as system maintenance work or special events in the company, Webdesk users can be made aware of them by means of system messages. The system message is written by the administrator; duration, appearance and timing can be parameterised as desired.
