Project Time Tracking

With Release 3.4, there is now a dedicated project time tracking module in the Webdesk EWP Suite. This module enables the recording of project effort including the assignment of this effort to

• Projects, cost centers and cost carriers
• Activities

Recording

This "project effort" can be recorded by the employee or by another authorized person. Optionally, real time intervals (from/to points in time) or just amounts of time can be recorded. The following recording variants are possible:

• Retroactive, weekly recording of project times
• "Real-time" booking of project times via Webdesk screen
• "Real-time" booking via mobile app

Workflows

Optionally, each project time entry can also be run through a mini workflow. In this case, the employee must first forward the corresponding effort for approval, and then a responsible project time approver can approve the effort. If Webdesk project time tracking only acts as a recording system for a downstream finance system, a plausibility check by the persons involved is thus also provided.

Reporting

Each employee sees the project time entries they created, while managers and project leads can see all effort and project time records of employees in their area of responsibility or their responsible projects.

Integration with Attendance Time Tracking

In the project time entry screen, the employee can see a comparison with the actual booked time from attendance time tracking at any time. It is thus easy for them to see how many hours and minutes are still "to be booked" to projects.

Interfaces

For integration with external systems, several connectors exist to regularly import master data such as project and customer master data, as well as to export project time bookings/effort.
