Job Delete Log Data
The deleteLogData job deletes old Webdesk log data depending on the configuration. In the job descriptor that ships with the product it is currently not active, but it is configurable.
Age limit
The Days back setting determines the date before which logs are processed. Values smaller than 2 are technically raised to at least 2 days. The user interface only allows values of 2 days or more. This protects, among other things, running reports whose log entries still have to be completed.
Configuration
- Keep log entries: The log entry is retained. Options for log details and request parameters that are not activated then lead to the deletion of this associated data.
- Keep log details: Retains the log details. If the option is deactivated, error and warning details can still be retained via the respective options.
- Keep error messages and Keep warnings: Preserve the respective detail types, provided the log entry itself and the log details are not retained completely.
- Keep log request parameters: Preserves the request parameters of the log entry.
- Keep all action logs: Skips all action logs.
-
Action logs not to be deleted: Excludes selected actions; the selection is processed by action name. In addition, synthetic action logs such as
.do,.jsonandHRX_are taken into account. - Keep all job logs: Skips all job logs.
- Job logs not to be deleted: Excludes selected jobs by their job UID, not by the job name.
Effect
If no keep or exclusion options are activated, the job uses the full deletion path and removes all logs before the threshold, including the associated details and request parameters.
If log entries are not retained, the job deletes the complete log entry including the associated data. In this case the detail and request parameter options have no effect. If log entries are retained, the job only deletes the request parameters or details that are not protected.
The general job parameters such as trigger and mail notification apply as described in the central job management.
